Before using low-temperature Solder Paste, select the appropriate model based on specific soldering requirements. Solder pastes of different compositions have varying temperature sensitivities; incorrect selection can easily lead to insufficient wettability or oxidation, affecting soldering reliability.
During the printing process, pay attention to the coordination of squeegee angle and pressure. Excessive pressure will cause excessive extrusion of solder paste and bridging, while insufficient pressure may result in insufficient solder paste volume, affecting subsequent Reflow Soldering results.
The setting of the reflow soldering temperature profile is a core step. The heating rate during the preheating phase must be controlled within a reasonable range; too fast may cause excessive internal stress in components, while too slow will extend the production cycle and increase the risk of oxidation.
The duration of the soaking zone should be sufficient to ensure full volatilization of the Flux. If the time is insufficient, residual solvent may cause later corrosion or poor insulation. Meanwhile, ensure the peak temperature reaches the melting point of the solder paste to ensure good solder joint formation.
After soldering, promptly inspect the quality of solder joints, focusing on defects such as voids, icicles, or solder balls. If necessary, combine X-ray inspection or microscopic observation to ensure compliance with process standards.
During operation, the workbench must be kept dust-free and clean. Meanwhile, regularly use a multimeter to check whether the equipment supply voltage is stable within the standard range, to avoid abnormal soldering parameters caused by voltage fluctuations.
The storage environment for low-temperature solder paste must be controlled at room temperature and in a dry place, avoiding performance changes caused by high temperature or humidity. After opening, it should be used as soon as possible to prevent oxidation or contamination from affecting soldering results.
