High-density PCBs frequently encounter issues such as solder beading, bridging, and insufficient wetting during mass production of QFN0.4mm, DFN0.3mm, and even 0201 packages. The root cause lies in uneven particle size distribution of alloy powder in the Solder Paste or mismatched rheological properties of the rosin vehicle. Improper selection of fine-powder solder paste can easily lead to uncontrolled shear thinning under squeegee pressure, resulting in incomplete filling at the bottom of stencil apertures. Field verification has shown that LFP-JJY5RQ-0307T4 achieves a continuous 200-piece yield of 99.3% under conditions of 6mil stencil, 30° squeegee angle, and 25mm/s printing speed. Its T4-grade 0307 alloy powder has a particle size D50 of 15±2μm and D90≤25μm. Combined with a ROL1-grade low-halogen rosin system, it achieves a stable QFN pad wetting rate of 92%–98% under peak reflow at 245℃, and the AOI false alarm rate is reduced by 40% compared to conventional T3 Solder Paste.
For high-density PCBs such as communication modules and tablet main control boards that are sensitive to ionic residues, the LFP-JJY5RNTT-00507BN series features a Bi/Ni micro-alloying design. While maintaining a melting range of 221–227℃, it reduces Flux residue to below 0.12mg/cm2, which appears completely transparent under a microscope. XRF testing shows Cl?<0.5μg/cm2. In trial production of a flagship mobile phone baseband board, this batch reduced ICT open-circuit defects from 1.7‰ to 0.2‰. The key is that its T5-grade powder has a D50 controlled at 12.5±1.5μm. Combined with a high thixotropic index (η?/η∞>85) vehicle, the slump height after printing on 0.3mm pitch QFN is only 1.8μm, effectively inhibiting tombstoning and offset.Automotive LED headlight PCBs require a void rate<3% and resistance to 1000h of high temperature and high humidity. The LFP-JJY5RR-305 zero-halogen solder paste has been measured to stabilize solder joint void rates at 1.2%–2.1%. This is attributed to the Cu element in the 305 alloy promoting dense growth of the intermetallic compound (IMC) layer, plus the ROL0-grade halogen-free rosin volatilizing more completely in the 250℃ soaking zone. LFP-JJY5RLJ-305 is specifically optimized for jet valve dispensing. Its T6-grade powder has D50=9.3±1.2μm, with viscosity set at 220Pa·s@10s?1. Measured single-point 0.15mm diameter glue dot consistency CV value<4.7%, with no solder beading or stringing, making it suitable for glue dispensing before 0.25mm pitch FCBGA ball mounting. For aluminum substrate heat sink projects requiring water-wash processes, LFP-JJY5RW1-0307 has a surface ionic contamination level<0.7μg/cm2 after rinsing in pure water at 60℃ for 2min, with colorless and transparent residue. However, note that its T4 powder requires low-speed stirring at 15rpm for 3min before use after long-term standing; otherwise, the stencil aperture clogging rate will increase by 12%. For low-temperature scenarios such as COB transparent screen driver boards, LFP-JJY2R-64351 must be used. Its Sn64Bi35Ag1 alloy has a melting point of 151–172℃. Paired with T3 powder to ensure sharp printing edges, soldering can be completed with peak reflow at 200℃, avoiding thermal damage to crystal oscillators or thin-film capacitors.Related Articles
