After our production line switched to JJY RoHS solder, the solder paste printing yield increased from 92.3% to 97.6%. The key lies in its alloy powder particle size D50 of 22.4±1.1μm, sphericity >92.5%, and oxygen content <150ppm, which enables uniform demolding at a squeegee pressure of 0.35MPa. Meanwhile, the stencil aperture area ratio maintained between 0.68 and 0.73 without collapse or solder drawing, whereas traditional imported materials often require increasing the pressure to 0.42MPa to barely meet the standard under the same parameters, but this leads to a 23% reduction in stencil life.

During the Reflow Soldering phase, when using a profile with a peak temperature of 235℃ and a time above liquidus of 68 seconds, the void rate of JJY RoHS Solder remains stable at 4.7%~5.3%, significantly better than the 6.9%~8.1% of a certain Japanese material of the same specification. This is because its Sn96.5/Ag3.0/Cu0.5 ratio has a more gradual solid-liquid coexistence zone in the 217~220℃ range, allowing the molten metal sufficient time to expel residual Flux gas. Moreover, when the cooling rate is controlled at 3.2℃/s, the microhardness HV0.1 of the solder joint remains between 12.8 and 13.4, with no brittle phase precipitation.

We have compressed the sample verification process to be completed within 3 working days. After the customer provides the PCB Gerber and BOM, JJY sends out a 500g standard sample on the same day along with the SGS report number for that batch. Upon receipt, we directly conduct on-machine testing of printability, placement ductility, and first-article AOI pass rate. If solder ball or bridging abnormalities are found, we immediately retrieve its powder laser diffraction pattern and XRF composition sheet for cross-comparison to confirm whether the cause is moisture absorption during transportation or batch mixing, rather than simply attributing it to mismatched process parameters.

Stencil tension attenuation monitoring shows that after using JJY RoHS solder, the weekly tension drop decreased from 1.8N/cm to 0.9N/cm, indicating that its low-residue property reduces metal soap deposition on the sidewalls of the stencil apertures. Combined with the operation of cleaning with anhydrous ethanol + ultrasonic for 15 minutes per shift, the actual service life of a 30μm nickel-alloy stencil is extended to 14 weeks, exceeding the industry average of 9.2 weeks, and even at the 12th week, the Solder Paste volume coefficient of variation CV for 0402 components can still be guaranteed to be <8.7%.

The most practical customer feedback comes from the cross-section analysis results. After comparative soldering on the same FR-4 board, the IMC layer continuity of JJY RoHS solder reaches 98.4%, while a certain Korean material shows local discontinuity or even missing under the same conditions, especially at the edges of OSP surface-treated pads. This directly leads to a 19% faster shear force attenuation after high-temperature and high-humidity aging tests, whereas the shear force of JJY batches still maintains 91.3% of the initial value after 1000 hours of 85℃/85%RH testing.
