Continuous three-month tracking tests were conducted at five mass-production factories in the Pearl River Delta region on 12 domestic Reflow Solder Paste models. It was found that 8MQP/5RQ achieved a solder wetting qualification rate of 98.7% on QFN0.4mm pitch devices. Its 0307T4 alloy powder paired with a ROL1 rosin system resulted in solder joint wetting angles generally below 25°. Under the same operating conditions, 8MTSP/5RTS showed solder wetting rates concentrated between 76.3% and 89.1%, but offered superior residue transparency and a 42% reduction in AOI false rejection rate, which is directly related to its total halogen content being controlled below 500ppm.

To meet the heat dissipation requirements of automotive LED modules, the halogen-free high-temperature Solder Paste 8M9P/5RR achieved an average void rate of only 2.1% at a peak temperature of 255℃, far below the industry-recognized 5% warning threshold. Combined with the 217℃ melting point of 305 alloy powder and the recommended soldering window of 235~255℃, it enables more uniform thermal stress distribution. An automotive lighting manufacturer reported a 67% reduction in BGA solder joint cracking rate. While the 8MA series allows halogen content up to 900ppm, it reduces costs by 35%, and maintains a yield rate above 99.2% on large-pitch lighting LED boards.

In laser welding scenarios, the 5RLJ and 5RLJB series validated the dispensing consistency of T6/T7 grade ultra-fine powders under jet valves. Among them, 5RLJ-305 produced no solder balls at 120W laser power, while 5RLJB-4258 exhibited stronger penetration through crystal oscillator pin oxide layers at a soldering temperature of 175℃. Paired with the 138℃ melting point of Sn42Bi58 alloy, it achieves zero damage to heat-sensitive components. A TWS earphone manufacturer used it for rework after ball mounting on Bluetooth SoCs, increasing rework success rate from 73% to 94.6%.

Water-washable 8MW1P/5RW1 and 8MW5/5RW5 showed significant differences in soldering aluminum substrate heat sinks. The former's SC07T3 powder left ionic residue <0.5μg/cm2 after pure water cleaning, while the latter, containing Sn64.7Bi35Ag0.3 alloy, left no visible traces on nickel-plated fins after soldering. However, the cleaning water temperature must be strictly controlled at 45±2℃, otherwise Flux saponification residues are prone to form. An LED strip manufacturer once caused three batches of modules to fail salt spray tests prematurely due to this issue.

In ultra-low temperature scenarios, 5RG-In52Sn48 supports a soldering window of 140~160℃ with its 118℃ melting point. A fingerprint lock production line used it to solder MCU and flexible FPC connection points, achieving a post-reflow thrust test result of 8.3N, exceeding the 7.2N threshold specified in JEDEC J-STD-020. Traditional Sn63Pb37 easily causes substrate warpage on such heat-sensitive structures, indicating that Domestic Solder Pastes are no longer simple replacements, but have achieved substantial expansion of process boundaries through alloy system reconstruction.
