We have verified the actual performance of our JJY LFP-JJY5RQ-0307T4 halogen-free and lead-free high-temperature Solder Paste on the production line. This high-wettability solder paste achieved a measured solder climbing rate of 98.7% on 0.4mm pitch QFN devices, which is 2.3 percentage points higher than imported products of the same specification. The key lies in the synergistic effect of its ROL1 grade rosin system and 0307 alloy powder T4 particle size, which ensures wetting and spreading while suppressing solder bead formation. To reproduce this effect, the printing parameters must be synchronously set with a squeegee angle of 60 degrees, a speed of 45mm/s, and a demolding rate controlled at 1.2mm/s.

For high-precision scenarios such as communication modules and fingerprint locks, the LFP-JJY5RNTT-305 model has been batch-introduced. It adopts a 100~200ppm ultra-low halogen ROL0 formula and 00507B2N alloy powder. Under a reflow peak temperature of 245℃, the residue is transparent and the ionic contamination value is lower than 0.78μg/cm2. However, it must be noted that it has stricter requirements for stencil aperture ratios; for pads below 0.3mm, stepped stencils or nano-coated stencils must be used, otherwise local solder shortage is likely to occur.

Automotive electronics customers have repeatedly reported that the LFP-JJY5RR-0307 zero-halogen solder paste maintains a stable void rate within 3.2% when soldering LED headlight heat dissipation substrates. This benefits from the metallurgical compatibility of its 0ppm halogen and 305 alloy. However, for this material under a nitrogen atmosphere, the holding zone must be extended to 90 seconds to fully release the Flux gas; if the conventional 60-second holding time is used, concentrated voids will occur at the bottom of BGA packages.

Although water-washable SMT Solder Pastes such as LFP-JJY5RW1-0307 have low costs, production lines have found that their OSP film damage rate after washing is as high as 11.4%. It is recommended to use them only on non-OSP copper surfaces or with special corrosion inhibitors. The special aluminum soldering model LFP-JJY5RW5-4258 can achieve residue-free soldering on aluminum nickel-plated fins, provided that the cleaning water temperature must be strictly controlled at 42±2℃; a temperature deviation exceeding 3℃ will cause surface whitening.

In laser welding scenarios, the differences between LFP-JJY5RLJ-305 and LFP-JJY5RLJB-4258 are very obvious. The former has no solder beads at a peak temperature of 245℃ and a Solder Joint Strength of 32MPa, while the latter maintains a 27MPa shear force even at a low temperature of 185℃. However, both are extremely sensitive to pressure fluctuations of the dispensing valve; a pressure deviation of 0.02MPa will cause consecutive SPI missing prints on 3 units, so the back pressure of the screw valve must be calibrated once per shift.

Finally, we remind all engineers that so-called high-wettability solder paste is not a universal solution. When the stencil tension is lower than 35N/cm2 or the PCB pad oxidation exceeds 72 hours, even the best Domestic Solder Paste will exhibit uneven wetting. In such cases, stencil tension retesting and pad plasma cleaning must be performed first, rather than blindly changing the solder paste model.
