ASEAN Foreign Trade Solder Factory with Extensive Foreign Trade Experience, Providing MSDS Material Reports

ASEAN Foreign Trade Solder Factory with Extensive Foreign Trade Experience, Providing MSDS Material Reports

When we were doing SMT contract manufacturing for Konka in Vietnam, we found that the same reel of Solder Paste achieved a 99.2% printing yield at the Kuala Lumpur factory, but after being shipped to the new production line in Ho Chi Minh City, uneven solder release under the stencil scraper persisted for three consecutive days. The root cause was eventually identified as the local humidity consistently exceeding 85% RH. Meanwhile, the ASEAN export solder batches supplied by Jia Jinyuan had already undergone Flux volatility gradient optimization tailored to Southeast Asian climates before leaving the factory. Combined with the storage temperature and humidity range clearly specified in the MSDS material report (20℃±3℃, humidity 40%~60%), the problem was resolved immediately by directly adjusting the parameters of the constant temperature room on site.

Last year, we helped an Indonesian customer process a batch of cargo stranded at the port. Customs clearance was held up at the Solder Composition declaration item, as the original manufacturer was only willing to provide an English version of the COA, while Jakarta customs explicitly required an MSDS material report with GHS classification attached. We retrieved the original testing data from Jia Jinyuan's system on the same day, and generated a complete MSDS file with UN number, flash point value, and measured acute toxicity LD50 values within 2 hours. Among them, the rosin derivative content in the flux was calibrated at 28.7%, and the ethanol solvent accounted for 12.3%, all fully consistent with the third-party SGS report. The container was released the next day. This level of response speed can only be delivered by a solder factory that has truly navigated the ports of all ten ASEAN countries.

During SPI first-article verification on the production line in Rayong Province, Thailand, the AOI repeatedly reported "low solder paste volume". Switching to three competing solder products failed to resolve the issue. Later, we pulled the rheological curve graphs for each batch from Jia Jinyuan for comparison, and found that the apparent viscosity of its ASEAN export solder remained stable at 125Pa·s±3 at 25℃ with a shear rate of 100s⁻¹, which is 8% lower than conventional models. This means more thorough demolding under the same scraper pressure. After finally fine-tuning the stencil aperture from 125μm to 132μm, the yield immediately jumped to 99.6%. This kind of process matching based on measured rheological parameters is not derived from theoretical formula deduction, but is an empirical value forged through trial and error on more than twenty production lines across Bangkok, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur.

A Cambodian customer once questioned whether the silver content of the solder was falsely labeled. We directly opened Chapter 4 of Jia Jinyuan's MSDS material report, and pointed out that the footer of the original ICP-OES testing data page bore the CNAS certification number L6729, with the measured silver element value at 3.02wt%, and the error range controlled within ±0.03%, which was completely consistent with the packaging label. This traceability capability led the customer's procurement team to sign a three-year framework agreement on the spot, as they had suffered too many losses at their Phnom Penh factory where labels stated 3.0% but actual measurements dropped to 2.7%, resulting in excessive BGA solder void rates and rework.

Now, for every pallet of solder shipped to the Philippines, in addition to the UN3089 hazardous goods marking printed on the outer box, a thermal-printed MSDS quick-code label is attached. Scanning the code with a mobile phone pulls up the full version including transport classification, fire extinguishing media, and spill response procedures. This detail was forced upon us after we had cargo detained twice at Manila port. The delivery of ASEAN export solder is never simply selling a product, but packaging the entire customs clearance chain, production line adaptation, and emergency response into a single delivery package.
