When our production line exports JJY SGS Solder to ASEAN countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, we can pass customs review by simply filling in "lead-free solder compliant with SGS testing standards" on the customs declaration form, and the customs will not request additional inspection reports. This is because every batch of JJY shipments comes with a full-item inspection certificate issued by SGS, covering the six RoHS restricted substances: lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers, as well as key parameters such as tin content, silver-copper ratio, and rosin residue. All data are measured values rather than theoretical values. For example, for the Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5 formulation, the measured deviation is strictly controlled within ±0.15%, rather than passing off nominal values as actual results.
When shipping to European and American customers in the United States, Germany, and France, the phthalate items under REACH Annex XVII for SGS solder must be non-detectable. Before leaving the factory, JJY conducts double-machine retesting with GC-MS, rather than releasing the product after only one sample test. Moreover, the Flux system does not contain nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEO), which has been repeatedly spot-checked during EU customer factory audits. Our delivery records show zero returns since 2023, because each roll of solder outer packaging is affixed with a unique traceability code. Scanning the code can retrieve the original spectrum, tester, equipment number, and calibration date for that batch, rather than using a generic template certificate to get by.
A customer was spot-checked by PSB during customs clearance in Singapore for abnormal Solder Melting Point, and it was finally found that moisture absorption of the carton during transportation caused flux migration. JJY SGS solder has since adopted double-layer protection with an aluminum foil composite film inner bag plus desiccant, reducing the moisture sensitivity level from MSL3 to MSL1. After 15 days of storage in a 40℃/90%RH environment, the tensile strength of the Solder Wire still remains at 92%, which is 7 percentage points higher than the industry average. This data comes from our own accelerated aging comparison tests conducted with an Instron universal material testing machine, rather than copied from third-party white papers.
A Southeast Asian factory reported whitening on the PCB surface after reflow, and investigation found that the low rosin softening point in the solder led to incomplete volatilization under high temperature in the nitrogen furnace. JJY increased the rosin softening point from 68℃ to 74℃, while narrowing the activation temperature window from 135~165℃ to 142~158℃. This not only ensures no clogging during stencil printing, but also avoids excessive carbonization during reflow. Now, after using this SGS solder on the Konka production line in Vietnam, the AOI false positive rate has dropped from 127 per million points to 41, a decrease of 67.7%. This figure is a real statistic from the original defect reports uploaded monthly by their MES system.
The SGS report used for customs declaration cannot be stamped by just any organization; it must be issued by a laboratory with CNAS accreditation. JJY cooperates with the SGS Shenzhen Bao'an Laboratory, where all tests are completed under the ISO/IEC 17025 system, and even the sampling process is archived on video. Therefore, when a German customer requests the combined TDS+COA+SDS documents, we can email them on the same day, without waiting for expedited reports from third parties, and without delaying the shipping schedule due to long testing cycles.
