Automotive electronics have far higher requirements for solder joint reliability than consumer electronics. Our production line has verified the actual performance of JiajinYuan LFP-JJY5RQ-0307T4 on automotive lighting MCU modules. Its 0307 alloy powder paired with ROL1 activity grade achieves a solder wetting rate of 98.7% on 0.4mm pitch QFN at a peak temperature of 245℃, and the void rate detected by X-ray is stably controlled within 3.2%. This is attributed to its strict control of single halogen content <900ppm and total halogen content <1500ppm, which avoids the risk of electrochemical migration caused by halogen residue.
For scenarios such as automotive-grade LED headlamps that are extremely sensitive to thermal stress, switching to LFP-JJY5RR-0307 halogen-free Solder Paste significantly improves the uniformity of the IMC layer of solder joints after reflow. Because 0ppm halogen paired with the 217℃ eutectic point of 305 alloy powder makes it easier to achieve full Flux activation and gas escape in the 235℃ soaking zone. The measured post-soldering ionic contamination value is <0.78μg/cm² NaCl equivalent, which is far lower than the 1.56μg/cm² required by AEC-Q200.When working on ADAS camera modules, we encountered soldering difficulties with nickel-plated heat sinks on aluminum substrates. After switching to LFP-JJY5RW5-305 water-washable solder paste, the surface insulation resistance reached >1×10¹¹Ω after a single spray cleaning. Crucially, it contains SC07/305 composite powder, which maintains good wetting and spreading within the 180s medium-temperature reflow window, leaving no white residue after soldering, eliminating the additional cost of nitrogen protection required by traditional no-clean solder pastes. When laser welding automotive pneumatic valve sensors, LFP-JJY5RLJ-305 exhibits excellent dispensing consistency under jet valve dispensing. The T5 grade ultra-fine powder reduces the solder ball occurrence rate on 0.15mm diameter pads to below 0.02%. Combined with <500ppm halogen and rosin carrier, the residue visible under a microscope after soldering is a uniform, transparent film that does not affect subsequent AOI recognition accuracy. For flexible cable repair soldering on automotive T-CON boards that require low-temperature processes, LFP-JJY2R-64351 completes soldering at a peak temperature of 195℃. The Sn64Bi35Ag1 alloy has a melting range of 151–172℃, resulting in small thermal deformation in FPC and FR4 hybrid laminated structures. The ROL1 grade ensures that post-soldering 85℃/85%RH 1000-hour aging tests can be passed without water washing. All recommended models use T3/T4/T5 graded powder, with T4 powder accounting for over 65% to ensure print release performance, while T5 powder improves fine-pitch filling capability. Production line feedback shows that LFP-JJY5RNTT-0307 reduces the solder joint bridging rate by 42% compared to general-purpose types on 0.3mm pitch BGA. The root cause is that it incorporates 00507BN microalloying elements into the 0307 matrix, optimizing the matching relationship between liquid metal surface tension and oxide film rupture threshold.Related Articles
