Solder wireIt is a kind of soldering material composed of two parts: tin alloy and flux. The alloy composition of leaded solder wire is divided into tin-lead and leaded flux. Environmentally friendly solder wire is composed of tin-copper alloy and lead-free flux. The main function of solder wire is to fill, repair or connect the main soldering material between two components. Then, can all materials be soldered with solder wire? Today, JJY solder Paste Manufacturer will explain to you:
The principle of soldering is to heat and melt the solder, then use the liquid "solder" to wet the substrate, filling the gap between the substrate and the component. Subsequently, as the temperature drops, it gradually solidifies and eventually forms a solder joint to join the substrate and the component together. Theoretically, the two would be bonded by metallic chemical bonds to form a continuous bond. However, in reality, the base material will be eroded by air and the surrounding environment, forming an oxide film to block the "solder", preventing it from achieving a good wetting effect. This phenomenon is just like pouring water on a plate coated with grease, where water can only accumulate in some areas. And generally, it cannot be evenly and comprehensively distributed on the plate. Therefore, not all materials can be connected with solder wire. Only some metals commonly used in the market have good solderability (more precisely, the property that they can be soldered with solder), and only then can they be connected with solder. For instance, materials such as copper and its alloys, gold, silver, zinc and nickel have relatively good weldability, while materials like aluminum, stainless steel and cast iron have relatively poor weldability.
Treatment of metals with poor weldability
For these metals with poor solderability, our solder wire manufacturer also has corresponding solutions. We add special fluxes or rare metals inside the solder wire for different metals to improve the soldering performance. Therefore, we have products such as special solder wire for stainless steel and solder wire for aluminum, which are convenient for customers who have soldering needs for these metals to purchase and use.
JJY has a complete product system, manufacturing various lead-containing solder wires, solder pastes, solder rods, flux pastes, anti-oxidation alloys and other regular products. In addition, it also offers solder wires for aluminum and stainless steel soldering, as well as various high and low temperature solder wires and other special products. Welcome new and old customers to call for consultation and purchase!
